South Gippsland Water advertises positions available on our website and in local newspapers. The recruitment process requires a written application and will be followed by at least one interview.

Cover letter

This letter should include your full name, address and contact daytime phone number and the title of the position you are applying for. It should also include why you are applying for the role and a summary of your skills and experience that meet the position requirements.

Response to the selection criteria

Fleet, Purchasing & Stores Coordinator – Full Time Ongoing

Reporting to the Procurement Manager this critical role for the organisation is responsible for providing excellent service across the business, fostering stakeholder relationships and working with a range of suppliers to ensure that South Gippsland Water provides the best services for the community. The role will be responsible for the supply and coordination of goods and services across South Gippsland Water. Based out of our stores warehouse in Leongatha you will also be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of our fleet. This role suits a person that is good with people, structured, detailed and focussed on service and seeks a continuous improvement environment.

This position is an integral part of the People and Culture Team, as a generalist responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of Human Resources and Learning and Development functions in line with the strategic goals and objectives of the corporation.

You will have post-secondary qualifications in human resource management or a relevant discipline, or extensive and diverse relevant work experience. Industry, local government or public-sector experience is preferred but not essential.
