South Gippsland Water was amongst the many businesses and community groups across the region to support the Cancer Councils’ ‘Biggest Morning Tea’.
Organised by Janice Pell, 37 staff including Board members, gathered to enjoy a cuppa and support this great cause.
To help ensure all staff could participate, the team at South Gippsland Water hold “A biggest luncheon” instead of a morning tea. As a result, this year’s spread included many mouth-watering sweet and savoury donations from members of staff. The Board of directors for South Gippsland Water also get in on the action, with the luncheon being held during the lunch break of the monthly board meeting.
This year’s lunch was another huge success, as well as a chance to gather socially, with staff donating to enjoy the lunch and also to enter the raffle. The raffle included prizes such as crayfish donated by Tom Robinson and other hamper goods donated by South Gippsland Water staff. A special mention goes to Rick and Sharon Bromley of Bromley’s Cafe, Foster, who donated vouchers for this year’s raffle.
This year South Gippsland Water and its staff have raised and donated more than $1,100 to the Cancer Council.
