Storage and Rainfall Update

Rainfall recorded at South Gippsland Water’s storages from 7 February 2020 to 14 February 2020 was Lance Creek 2mm, Ruby Creek 2mm, Deep Creek 27mm and Battery Creek 25mm.

South Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Philippe du Plessis said that, “Water storages across the region remain at satisfactory levels”.

The Refiller program continues for people not on reticulated water supply and whose tank water has been smoke affected. Thanks to Korumburra’s Milpara Community House where water can now be access along with the Corporation’s main sites at Leongatha and Foster.

South Gippsland Water treats water to safe drinking water standards and township water supplies are not affected by recent poor air quality. The three sites provide access to the reticulated water supply for the community to refill containers and are located at:

  • Milpara Community House                 21 Shellcotts Road Korumburra
  • SGW Stores                                        17 Cusack Road, Leongatha, and
  • SGW office                                         14-18 Pioneer Street, Foster
