We’re updating our billing system to provide more options for you.

What’s changing?

Quarterly billing

Your water costs will now be spread across four billing cycles with the introduction
of quarterly billing.
This means for this financial year, you will receive bills in August,
November, February and May.

Secure payments

A variety of ways to pay your bills, including the introduction of a new secure Westpac payment gateway.

Cheques

South Gippsland Water will no longer accept cheques after 1 July.

Customer portal

We’re working on an online customer portal to provide you with more flexibility in the way you do business with us.

When is this happening?

We’re currently testing and training our staff in the new system to make sure it works for you.
We would appreciate your patience during this transition from old to new.
If you are a direct debit customer you will receive a separate email or letter in the coming weeks, with a guide to the steps you
need to take.

Why are you doing this?

We’ve proudly provided quality water services to the people of South Gippsland for 30 years.
As part of our mission to continually improve our business, we wanted to upgrade our technology to improve the way our customers and stakeholders interact with us.
This project was initiated as our current systems do not meet customer expectations for real-time, web-enabled customer and billing interactions.
There will be no interruptions to the water and sewer services we currently provide to you.

Our Customer Service team will be available

Our customer service team will be training though June as we transition to the new system.
During this transition period, our customer service team may have limited ability to provide full service.
Thanks for your patience with us. We will have a call back answering service if an operator is not immediately available and will get back to you as soon as possible.
From 1 July, you can call them on 1300 851 636 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday for support.
Alternatively, email sgwater@sgwater.com.au.
