We’ve made a few important changes to how we bill and communicate with you. South Gippsland Water has:
- Introduced a new billing system
- Moved to quarterly billing
- Designed a new-look bill
- And later this year, we’ll be launching a customer portal
These updates are all about making it easier for you to manage payments and stay connected with us.
When will you receive your bill?
- Bills are being prepared for delivery. They are currently with our mailing house.
- Most people can expect to receive their next bill from mid-September onwards, as part of the current billing cycle.
- For this bill, we’ve extended the due date to 10 October 2025, giving you time to plan your payment.
- About five per cent of accounts may be further delayed because we want to do extra checks to ensure accuracy.
- We will ensure the due date is at least 28 days from the date of issue for all accounts.
- Final accounts have not been issued since 19 June 2025. If you have moved out since that date, and you have an outstanding balance, you can expect to receive your final account in the coming weeks.
Your next bill under the new quarterly billing cycle is scheduled for November. We aim to send it in mid to late November and will keep you informed of any delays.
What’s new on your bill?
- New look – Your bill has a fresh design. For help understanding it, visit our Bill Explainer page or call us on 1300 851 636.
- Envelope messaging – The envelope will include a message asking you not to open it if it’s not addressed to you. If received in error, please return it to us.
- New account number – Most customers will have a new account number, located at the top right corner of your bill. Please double-check it before making a payment.
- BPAY updates – If you’ve saved your old account number in your online banking, don’t forget to update it. But don’t worry — if you forget, we’ll still make sure your payment reaches the right account.
- BPAY View – Once our new portal is live customers can manage how they receive their accounts directly with South Gippsland Water via the portal. Those previously registered for BPAY View will revert to paper-based bills for the time being.
