eAccounts – Frequently Asked Questions

I’m having trouble registering, I keep getting and error message: “Update Error: Information is not found! Please try again”.

Upon registration the ‘Customer Name’ must be entered as it appears exactly on your account and in the same order if multiple customers are listed, otherwise the registration will not verify.

Refer to a copy of your account and ensure your name is detailed exactly the same on your web registration (for example, you need to use the exact spacing and capitalisation as it appears on the account). If your name does not appear correctly on your bill, please call us on 1300 851 636

What is my username?

The Username is created by yourself at the time of registration, and needs to be one that you will remember. It also serves as your identifier and cannot be changed.

I forgot my username?

If you have misplaced or forgotten your Username please email your account number and property address to in order to retrieve this information.

What is my password?

Your password is set by yourself upon activation of your eAccount. Passwords can be changed if required, simply go to ‘My Profile’, ‘Manage Password & Email’ and follow the prompts.

Can I revert back to paper accounts?

If you elect to no longer receive electronic bills, South Gippsland Water can change your bill delivery method back to ‘post mail’ and deactivate your account.

Please email to request your bill delivery method changed back to post mail, ensure you provide your account number and property address.

How do I register to receive electronic accounts for multiple properties?

If you have multiple properties with South Gippsland Water in the identical name and identical postal address, these properties will also be issued to you in the same electronic format.

My email address has changed, how do I update my registration?

You can update your email address on the eAccount website, simply log into and go to ‘My Profile’, ‘Manage Password & Email’ and follow the prompts.
